Menurut saya wajar apabila dunia olahraga kita masih stagnan. I think it only natural that our sport is still stagnant. Salah satu penyebabnya (mungkin) adalah kepastian masa depan para olahragawan itu sendiri. One reason (maybe) is the certainty of the future of the sport itself. Saya kira sudah banyak kasus yang menimpa para olahragawan kita di hari tuanya. I think it is a lot of concerns affecting our athletes in the old days.

Tingkat penghargaan pemerintah kepada mereka sangat minim,sangat berbeda dengan prestasi yang telah mereka persembahkan. Levels of government to award them is very minimal, very different from the achievements they have offer. Di sini saya membatasi tulisan saya sampai penghargaan pemerintah terhadap atlet yang telah mengharum nama daerah maupun INdonesia. Here I limit my writing to the government's appreciation to the athletes who have fragrant name of the region and Indonesia. Tidak sampai pada peluang2 lain yang dapat diperoleh melalui sponsorship.
